Yea so much for staying on a posted schedule; Life is life and real world stuff happens, the serious, the silly and the bizarre. Time still fly's.
The recent sales I picked up some DLC..... Fun for the holidays! Or more to the pile?
TheYamiks had an update on Star Citizen which was interesting. "What he said"! 10 years of ("Playable") Star Citizen
Broken Arrow had a dev update with a release date.... Looking forward to it!
Jake Baldino had two good videos of late :
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - the BEST thing about it (as he mentioned, his video on gameranx is also worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oj88MivbHc)
Before gaming I've been enjoying the new Day of the Jackal series. Takes on it's stroylines differ but overall I'm rooting for the 'bad guy'.
Powerwash Simulator has it's new Christmas map, the Ice Rink. Not as large or detailed as the Santa Workshop but fun to do quick enough.
It's a pity that the 100% completion seems to be reset on the other maps listed.
The new Euro Truck Sim 2 DLC covering Greece is a great addition to the game; Nice to see the updated part of the game all in one location.
Not that the redone parts of the game are lesser, not at all; But the DLC has that 'new' sheen to it's nuances and it's appreciated. No Winter event yet, which is good as I'm taking my time in the DLC and enjoying it.
While I've not had the time to fully embrace Star Trucker; I'm still keeping tabs on it.
The Planet Crafter received a large update and rework not only of the game engine but the Humble planet updates to story. Some changes larger than others; All welcome.
Changes to the first planet is more game engine based while all else remains the same; Not a bad thing but it's nice to see the updates wrecks and now be able to loot them again. Gaining all the new items as I go (furniture cosmetics etc).
Humble has the larger changes to it due to the two new biomes either side of the beach. The integrated storylines seem to plug some gaps as much as I've seen; But Planet Crafter hasn't really been about 'story'; Less is more in that angle for me. More nuanced intrigue is better imho! That said, still plenty more looting to be done.
Star Trek Online is the 'same'ol, same'ol'; The winter event is in full swing and adds to the mix. I've finally created the Ferengi character on Xbox so I'm starting to do all the event stuff with him instead of the Mirror character. Dailies are dailies.
The mirror character on PC is nearly on par with my Xbox version; But he'll get more game-time going forward as he is the new new there; PC Ferengi is 10 characters back....
Interesting news from CasualSAB re the 'meta'. Not that I chase DPS but passing up info on whats out there and how to use it is something I do not like to do. The more you know etc etc.
His update on general game news was good as well (Re Deca). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pECT9a46lqM
As for Eve Online and it's winter event is still of no interest to me. The recent tweaks to the game are subtle but noticeable; Not that a casual carebear like me can alter their plans. The forthcoming update to PI is somewhat annoying to me in concept never mind whatever they have in mind or will implement. I'm not averse to change or to the user interface being streamlined or mechanics being made more easy to use/manage; But there is 'that thing', a feeling, where CCP are going to be CCP and F it up with all their good will. I've turned off more of the new 'features' than I've ever had on.
Like STO, dailies are dailies.
