Burner missions... I'm not alone....

Like me yesterday a lot of people were blogging about their own burner mission experiences.
I just read this blog and there are interesting stats about the burner missions.
Glad I'm not alone.

Weekend update....

Last weekend was complimented by having the last two days off as well. Nothing like a four day weekend to make some major gaming happen. Neglecting some minor home d.i.y. is par for the course at the moment, am sure that will be tackled soon enough when it's brought to my attention.

I'm going to stick to eve gaming for most posts from now on and maybe do a more general gaming post every once in a while.

My rl friend and in game wingman hasn't returned to the game since his assplosion in lowsec. Pity as he would have replaced his losses with one night and a few missions.

I've been playing about with all my characters at some stage, I'll try and fit in as much detail as I can without waffling on for too long.

My Null alt had a massive amount of semi-afk mining, making a lot of ships and modules that have been added to the market. There will be a lot left over and I'll have to deal with that once they are not sold. But there is a buyer for everything and relisting only adds to the margins. I'm in no way keeping a spreadsheet on cost v's reward in that department. A profit is rolling in slowly and in a way it is helping the alliance locals.
I've started to build up a hi-sec store of ships and gear for missioning, its a safe bet and a way of banking some isk outside of null. Other than Mining he has been doing a small bit of ratting on off moments from mining or when a system needs to be cleared to keep happy miners unhindered.
I was lucky to get an elite cruiser that dropped a module worth 100 mill. That will be sent to hi-sec and sold as soon as possible.

A bad thing was that I looked at a tengu fit in a chat channel and saw he wasn't that far off getting into one..... that's the skill plan in the air.... especially as I bought the books and shipped them into null. lol

I think I'd use it more for anoms than anything else and it would replace my so very slow Raven, then again it could repalce my ratting drake as well.....

Before I moved my drake in to take care of wayward rats I used a pvp(ish) fit frig to clear a few frig rats in a belt. I was lucky.... killed em.... but lucky... lol

My main wasn't on much and when he was he was supporting my second main who did some soe level 4’s.
I did a few of these again last night to see if one of the new burner missions would be given and after 4 missions I got one.
I took my super perma-tanked Hawk Assault frigate which was ready and waiting. I was confident in the fit as I had gone through Cosmos area's without it flinching.
Once in the mission the burner frigate easily did 1500 m/s so there was no running out of range.
Not that that mattered as the first second in mission saw me being targeted, scrammed and webbed.
He orbited at 10km and on his first volley took half my shields.
Second saw the other shields and half armour go.

Third volley saw me in a pod. My repper barely made a dent in helping.

Mission abandoned.

I then scooped up parts of my fit that dropped and limped home in an Ibis.  30 Mill loss for the pleasure.
Thanks CCP.

HO-LE-FOOK are they hard! And the rewards are not worth it…. 400k isk, a few hundred LP and some t1 random module or scrap metal. That risk is not worth the reward.

But the challenge I hear you cry.

Ballsacks I say.

I like to have a fighting chance without fitting a bastardised triple repped ASB frigate.

I've seen this clip on youtube, a fleet of frigs didnt' dent the burner.... sod that lark.

My Minmatar alt has done some scanning and has setup a little base to operate from with an astero and a Wolf assault frigate. It's very much a distraction rather than any form of isk maker.

 I did a combat site I found.

But the rewards were lack-luster.

In anticipation of the burner missions overall I purchased 3 hawks for my main and 3 more for my second main. Yet another for a my main alt. That's 7 hawks + fits. As well as a wolf for my Minmatar Alt.
8 ships minus the lost hawk = 7 ships.
The Minmatar alt can use the assault frig for combat sites etc so that's a use for it.

So... 6 Hawks all in a row... what to do ... what to do.... not burner missions that's for sure.

Of all the things to do....

An in game friend and RL m8 who played Eve long before I did is always itching and chomping at the bit to engage in pvp with ninja's when they enter missions. I usually hold him off on any action as we either finish the mission or take a five minute break to let the ninja wallow in npc fire / salvage and loot etc...
Anyway after a mission running session that ran late the other night (into the early morning) I bailed and he was going to make a shopping trip to Jita. The next day I found that he was on a lot longer then just a  trip to Jita. It seems that the last mission he handed in was the one needed to prompt a storyline mission. He accepted it despite it being in a 0.4 system. Needless to say it went pear-shaped once people warped into his mission area. He had almost finished the mission when he got company.
Thankfully he didn't take his new Dominix, just a Drake. The funny part is that for over an hour the person that scrammed him couldn't break his tank. This dude called in a friend. Both couldn't break his tank. The second dude tried three different ships/fits to break the tank. This went on for some time. And being so late/early in the morning my friend said "sod it" and once his aggression timer ticked off he logged off.
From the kill mail's it seems that even while logged off the drake took quiet a while to have its tank whittled away, thanks mainly to the npc's helping the pvp dudes on the dps front.

My friend has since given a lot of friendly jibes about "if he only had backup..." but even if I got a text message at that hour in the morning I would have been "expletive".
Anyway a good backup wingman would have told him not to accept the mission.
Or to at least fit a warp stab or two as a get out of jail free card, but he'd say that was cheating or diminishing his dps(manhood). So the end result would prob be the same for him.
I guess over all he got what he wanted, he took a chance, it didnt' work out this time, and he got to pvp with a challenging ganker(s).

Last ..... weekend / few days....

My null alt got into a weekend of mining, enjoying the boosts from alliance fleets all mining in system. Despite the war targets, aggressive neutrals and Awoxing asshats, there was a lot of mining done mainly on a second screen as I did something else. His latest creations are 5 Caracal's and 5 Osprey's, 100k worth of various small ammo's and a few modules (more utilities like t1 salvagers and tractors). I have yet to make a trip to hi-sec to pickup some blueprint copies and leave off some items for sale. I think I'll be continuing the carebear in nullsec style until I can finish with training and then take a lot more risks in a clean clone with a lot of ships I've been creating.

I have to say a big thank you to a person I meet when I first started playing, you know who you are. Although we have not been in the same corp in a long time this person and I have kept in contact. Without this person's help in hauling / selling and buying stuff for me I'd have had to make another alt. The game is an mmo after all and it's all about the interaction and what that brings.

I joined in on some mission running with another friend that degraded my Amarr standings on my second main. I'm a carebear and I like my standings. He seems to relish my dismay as he accepts every mission that is against an empire faction.

I took up the remaining co-op anti Amarr missions on my Minmatar alt in the new improved fit Loki, maybe new and improved is too much, tweaked Loki fit may be better.

Despite my Minmatar alt's inability to tank some level 4's in a battleship, the tank on the Loki was able to take all the punishment from the extravaganza level 4. Nice and impressive. Drone and gun damage was "ok" but T2 guns are a few days away and I'm sure they will make a big difference.

With a lot of mining in Eve I got to play a lot of BF 4. My game time here saw a few improvements. My support class now has a better AWS with good attachments that I'll be keeping as the main weapon.
I've done the unthinkable, played my recon as a Sniper! Yes I liked it. The first match I played I got 16 kills to 5 death's, that sealed the deal. For whatever reason I just went ahead and did it and it worked out. It all clicked in my head. Two main reasons helped with getting into this class as opposed to the previous incarnations. First was the bullet drop, actually seeing this happen and prejudging it. Second was the high ground factor. The penny dropped.
I've stuck with the first sniper rifle, the CS-LR4 as it seems the best with the attachments I have. Of the sniper weapons I have yet to unlock I think the M40 will be my prefered choice. It lacks in punch for longer ranges but I want to try it out.

In some ways the sniper vs sniper battles in BF4 are a lot more begrudging as it takes a lot more time to really "get one over" on the same sniping player. Sometimes you are outclassed. Other times its a more even "tit for tat".
This reddit thread is a great one for sniper rifle info.

I've enjoyed the progression of BF4 and it's unlock's per class, each has it's own play style within my playstyle and also depends on the map and type of combat.  Still more to do. Still more to enjoy.

On another BF4 front there are some great screenshots from this reddit poster worth looking at.

Wow saw no real activity, in fact I did most of my wow'age via the android app playing the auction house. I logged in once to do a round of character maintenance (farm /mail/professions). The only big thing I did was to make a Sky Golem to put up fro auction. I saw two other Golems on the AH with a starting bid of 15000 with an 18000 buyout, so I listed my Golem as a start and buyout of 17999 gold. It sold later that day. My main character with his new stash is now 20 gold shy of 40000. That's a lot for me and so minor for lots of other people who seem to make that amount in a week. I'll be sending on 5k to the missus for her alchemy assistance.
The Grumpy elf has some interesting comments about the wow Beta http://thegrumpyelf.blogspot.ie/2014/08/monday-random-beta-thoughts.html

I didn't play Star Citizen at all over the weekend, but I did update the software. There are some nice new and updated things in the next major release. I look forward to the private matches between myself and a friend.

I had to laugh at the luxury version of the constellation..... ho-le-cow.

And I loved the new trailer for the exploration model.

This is an interesting youtube channel for info on the game and tactics, as is this one and last but not least this one is probably the best ...

About a year away from a formal release and this game has so much potential it's unreal.

Interesting news around....

The next Eve online patch/expansion is named Hyperion due out on the 26th of August. Of the features listed the one that I find the most interesting is the new frigate level 4 "burner" missions. This dev blog has the info.
I can see myself buying a few hulls in preparation.... lets hope the market doesn't spike this weekend.

I'll have to have another look into my rocket vs lml hookbill and a hawk fits.

Wow had it's cinematic intro released yesterday.

Eve-e-i-o....

In Eve I'm still doing my usual round of PI and skill updates, not sure if I should really keep saying it but at least it is something to say...

My main gamplay in Eve is still on the null alt. I setup the mining ship/hauler's again and have been going about doing industry based tasks. I may need to add in a few days of extra skills to up his industry skill set. I'll hold off on redoing the ratting setup as I'll see how the industry goes.

I did sell off a procurer and a lot of gear that I wont use has gone on the market.
I can see how the long term marketing of goods can create a lot of wealth and also that the larger the initial investment the more profit is to be made. Maybe its just the small pocket of null that I am in but I'm doing better than I expected.

Overall the number of war targets in the systems have hampered resource gathering and ratting. I had my null alt logged in sitting idle in a station for over an hour waiting to see if I could get him mining (while watching a movie and playing BF4), frustrations like this continue.

Fighting Fantasy game books..... Android edition.

When I was about 12 I was introduced to the Fighting Fantasy books via a friend while on a school trip. I found myself more engrossed in the book than the real life adventure (so that's where it all began lol).

The book he had that day was the first of those books I purchased myself. Talisman of Death.

The first book may not have been set in the overall universe as the rest of the series but I did enjoy the diversity. I found myself going through a lot of those books in the years after.
I even tried my hand at creating my own stories and indulged in books on the lore and rules.

But I never got to grips with the more "advanced" Sorcery books.

I dismissed the Nintendo DS version of a game book after bad reviews.

Over time I've read a few bits here and there about the series since and have seen some fan newsletters/sites that keep the subject alive. In one of these last week I read about a version of the game books being converted into iOS and Android apps. This peeked my interest.

The latest game out in this new digital format is a book I had also gotten so many years ago. Starship Traveller. Here is a link to the google play store.

I bought it and have enjoyed it so far. I like the way it's been implemented, the way the rules are done and the dice rolls that can be bumped adds a nice touch. Tinman games have done a good job. I'll spend a while with this before I look at the other games that have been converted but I think I'll wait until books I've had in my collection are redone before buying again.

PI and starter missions.... A good Eve guides blog

Two quick links of interest:

Info on the starter missions:
http://evesimplified.blogspot.ie/2013/03/starting-tutorial-missions-guide.html

And a basic PI video guide:
http://evesimplified.blogspot.ie/2014/08/eve-online-basic-pi-planetary.html

I knew it would happen.....

After my ranting, waffling post about my null alt and his rejigging of his ships/gear and "outlook". I logged in last night to update his P.I. and what do I see... extra isk in the wallet, a few more ships have sold.
I now want to keep up the mining and get more products to sell. Irony abounds. I really should have stuck to things and left it all as was and not deviated from the overall "being" of this alt. Lessons learnt.
The current market orders are all set for a few weeks, I should have set a shorter time for these. I think I'll be doing some research into the market and keeping the ore/refine notes I had on production.

On a side note the I just read the information here about the next expansion/patch for Eve lists this:

"Planetary Industry in claimed 0.0 space becomes available to people outside the sovereignty holding alliance
In Hyperion, it becomes possible for players outside the alliance holding sovereignty in a system to operate planetary colonies."

For me that sucks, if external people (and there are a lot of random roaming people in Provi) can get access to the P.I. then the planets are going to be messed about with quiet a bit! It will resemble WH space and POS's there. Enemies will be planting planets and just collecting to destroy P.I. materials and be general fúckwits. Not overly happy about it but again it's all about adaptability. There just needs to be a way to interfere with enemy P.I. operations on a planet, like a use for bombardments but I guess that would work both ways.

Also listed is the smaller incursion sites based around frigates..... that could be very interesting. Will have to wait and see the dev blogs as they appear.

Weekend of gaming....

My weekend of gaming revolved around a lot of mining in Eve online with a bit of BF4 combat mixed with a dash of Wow farming.

Wow was very much a case of log in - update farms - help the missus for 2 seconds and log off.
I really wasn't in the humour for wow, I think I need to ignore the game altogether for a few weeks to be able to play it again properly. The only thing keeping me going back right now is that I am 4 days away from making a sky golem to place on the auction house. This will be the second that I'll sell. The first sold for 15k gold. I was expecting 20k but the AH was full of them and I wanted to sell it rather than wait. Some gold went to my other half to help with an alts flying skills. The AH cut of my 15k was 750 gold.... very ouch. With luck I'll get the next one sold next weekend for a lot more.

BF4 has seen me mess about with a good few weapons but I've swung back to using a silenced AWS in the support class while doing team deathmatch games. When it works it really works. The best I did with it was 8 kills in a row all within a few seconds of each other, nice and random, like they were falling in front of my sights. Second best was along a choke point corridor that had my team mates pinned and dieing, I opened up with 200 rounds of goodness and silenced the incoming fire and wiped out the opposing team, so all in all pretty sweet. I've not used the Ballistic shield... I don't think I will unless I am boxed into a spawn point.

Eve saw me again updating skills, maintaining P.I. and mainly logged in on my Null character, mining.

I mined, I refined and used the ore to make ships, ammo and a few modules. I whittled down the colossal amount of bpc's from the 250 I thought would be a good idea to have in null to 50. I parked the 200 left over back in the system 1 jump from hi-sec ready to be "benched" and safe from null.
This is a strange move as this character has everything he owns in null.
He has no hi-sec assets. I've never thought of having assets in hi-sec for him. Everything he gets is always to be moved to null. He was a null alt after all, everything revolves around null. I should have slapped myself in teh face and stopped there.
I've always tried to keep his assets clear of anything I wasn't using so as to have a little efficiency going, less clutter is good right.......

In doing the mining and production I've amassed a large amount of ships 90% of which I wouldn't use myself on this character. I put them up as orders on the local market. Surprisingly a good few have sold already despite me not doing any market research.
The other bpc's I kept I intend(ed) to use, I even made out some lists of the ore's needed and the amounts I'd have to mine and refine.

The weekend saw a constant increase in the number of reds and neuts roaming, so much so that they seemed to be bumping into each other and fighting as the local system residents all docked up and watched the proceedings.

The weekend also saw me moving ships and gear around null as a limitation on risk.
This clearout mind set exploded last night and I moved everything (bar a belt ratting drake and a PI hauling Epital) to the jump off station to hi-sec.

PI is not disrupted by others unless they take the system (not likely) and belt ratting can be done as a very ad-hoc on the fly way so isn't as disrupted as running a site would be. BC's align a lot faster than a BS so it makes sense to keep the Drake in place.

The production of the mined ore gave stuff that I didn't really need. I could sell the ore for more than the sale of the products. Doing the recent blitz on mining and production was a good way to see the new changes but it was at best a short term distraction and at worst an isk sink. Besides the recent mining I've not really used the ships I've had for it. Best to move the entire Mining ships and gear out.
Likewise I've only used the Raven once to do a site.
Did I really need 250 mill worth of ships sitting idle in a warzone.....

With two or three neutral or red scouts in each system, just cloaked up, it's a frustrating balance of nerve, risk and reward when doing anything in those systems.

The combination of enemy activity, news of potential wars made me further reevaluate the assets in null.

His assets are small enough and mobile enough to get everything out in 5 or 6 trips. That could be tricky but doable, especially if a defencive fleet is up.
I stopped myself from moving things further and into hi-sec. Gathering these assets has taken a while and has meant a lot.

Lots of reasons floated in my head on why it would be a good idea to get my gear out of null. But the removing these from null would defeat the purpose of this alt.

Noting like a brain to over-complicate things in my own head.

I still have questions about weather to clearout or stay 100%.

The constant disruption to ratting and mining by reds was my main cause for folding up everything bar the basics. Almost like a mini rage in reaction to not being able to do what I want.

I'll leave things where they are for now, better to have them in one place ready to evacuate than to have to bring them back in.

Time to wait and see if things settle down....

Some minor gaming last night....

Although I didn't get up to much at all I did get a quest reward in WoW while helping my other half level that matched my rogue's outfit really well. He looks really "cool" on the Red Flying Cloud!

And in Eve news, it sucks when people put up defencive warp bubbles..... I prob won't be saying that if I was pvp'ing. Took me a while to get out of it aligning to the nearest celestial that was also the shortest distance to get out of the bubbles effects. Not nice with a red in system.
That red warped to me was caught in the bubble just as I warped to the celestial at 100km. On the off chance that he was following I made another warp a.s.a.p. Other than that the mining and production has continued.

Updates on my Eve activity....

Not a lot of excitement on the eve gaming front. With all my wafflin about skills and queues and plans for skill queue's I've only really been logging in to Eve to do PI updates on 5 characters. Any other time in Eve is mostly spent on the null alt mining, making stuff from what I mine and hauling those about nullsec. All the while I'd be doing something else, be it other gaming, surfing the web or watching tv/movie.

Mains and alts are training away. Both mains are progressing on the lists I have for them but nothing new there.
My main alt will need another plex worth of time once the current one is finished and then 2 more days taken from the mains queue to finish up the skill list.
The Minmatar alt has finished off the Loki training and is currently working on T2 weapons. The skill list will need 3 more days worth of training time to finish the list once the plex time has ended.
The Null alt is still the same but will need an additional 3 month subscription to finish off the skills before I move him to my main account.
My Amarr alt is sitting idle with not a lot to do.

At this rate I think I'll still be saying the same things until December.

The loki test was to run two level 4's with a friend. It proved that the fit can tank a level 4 well, but dps projection sucks bigtime. To kill anything required I ram the target and hug it to death. BC's were killable but it took a long time and BS's were not being dented. The drones seem to do more damage then the loki's guns. I hope that the transition to T2 weapons will make a difference. The only good things was with killing destroyers, one shotted them, it was nice. Same test with T2 guns and a slightly tweaked fit is next.

I've said before that there have been a lot of reds in and around the area my null alt lives. Some are cloaked up hotdroppers, others are roaming and trying to get smaller easier kills like ganking industrials and saying gf in local.
The main system I mine in has had a red hotdropper, cloaked up for a while now, so long in fact that people are going about their usual business despite the danger. I've still gotten to mine a fair bit.  I guess my rationale for doing so is that who would want to hotdrop a retriever when they could gank a bling ratting BS instead. So stay aligned and mine what I can is what I do.

Mine

Mine

Produce

& mine some more....

Great blog entry that mirrors a lot of my sentiment..... 2

Guilty on so many levels.....

Star Citizen.... bought the pledge.

I've always been a wing commander fan. Playing the WC III, IV, Priateer 2, then getting The Kilrathi Saga to recap as well as Prophecy. They've been the best space space sims besides Freespace and Freespace 2. I've not been an x-wing/tie fighter fan shocking I know.

A good while ago I came across Star Citizen from the same man that brought WC, read about it both online and in magazines (PC Gamer UK) but I never really dug deeper into it. It all seemed very new and the kick-starter had only just got going.
I passed on the news and info I had gotten to a friend who is into his flight sim games and who is also a total freelancer/starlancer junkie.
However it's only in the last month I reminded him of the game with a link to some info that seems to have really hit the new game home for him. So much so that in the last two weeks he has built a new PC gaming rig. Purchased a "proper" flight stick and throttle. Updated to a 64 Bit Windows 7. And purchased a special offer pledge package for the game. With this transformation and the epic promise of a game that should make him cry like a pack of teenage concert going girls, I've heard nothing but hype, news, reviews and planning for the game from him.
My friend has been talking so much about the game that I started to do more and more research into it myself. So much has been said in the last week alone that over the weekend I decided to purchase a pledge.
A €35 pledge for an Aurora LN, this gives me the military version of the Aurora ship, Beta access (access now to the game and its future beta releases), the standard starter hanger, 1000 credits, the game download, the squadron 42 single player download ( not out yet ) and the game manual (not out yet).
I also added in a €4 access pass to be able to get into the dog fighting module Alpha (free roam or npc enemies).
So in all that was €40 that I've given to a game that has the potential to blast Eve out of the water. Especially in regards to the "I was there" feeling.
The potential of this game is staggeringly huge. The next year should see this game explode over the gaming scene.

The main pledge I bought reminded me of Eve Incarna, you can walk about a room, look at ships you have and that's about it. The extra €4 opens up the space flight world, and is well worth it. You'd be disappointed if you didn't get it as well.

I got to try out the game under my friends login, he's purchased a lot and is a subscriber now. For all that his hanger would put the deathstar to shame, it's all gold and burgundy, very plush, his ships looking so well in it. His hanger's huge! He bought the "buggy" to get around it faster. Part of the hanger is a set of obstacles and jumps for the buggy, and it handles very well!
This youtube vid will give you an idea.

My hanger as I said is the "starter" hanger, but I still like it's industrial looks.

This rotating dude may be a future feature that allows for showing off or modifying gear.

The fish tank, I read it was buggy but I did view that "addon" fish you can buy.

The Arena Commander / Flight test Aurora

I can see a lot of game concepts being used and reused form other games. It seems the community wants the best parts of other games and are paying for Star Citizen to have them in a usable polished form. It's great to see the way this game is forming up. I'm glad I have my €40 investment, I can't wait to see what comes from the next year as each new bit gets bolted on.

Long weekend..... update.

With last weekend including a bank holiday I did get a lot of gaming in, Eve, wow, BF4. It was all enjoyable.
Time did pass waaaaaaaaaay too quickly.

Guadians of the galaxy is a great, enjoyable and funny film, at least for me and I have to say that everyone that went to see it with me thought the same. Seeing it in 3D was a great experience and well worth it.

Wow mainly consisted of updating my farms, AH'ing and helping my other half to level another character. I did bail on that as I still can't stand questing and dungeon pugs are grinding my gears with their naf attitudes.
I also decided to get my main to do the Lorewalkers rep grind to get the Red Flying Disc, very easy to do and a different kind of rep grind. A good lil mount to boot.  If only there were more reg grinds like that one.
I also started using the auction house feature on my android tablet and made a lot of gold, more than I would have doing in game normal AH'ing. This was also handy to do while playing other games. I'll definitely be using this in the future.

BF4 Saw me complete a few weapon upgrades to the way I wanted them, unlock one or two more (Bulldog and ballistic shield).
I've been upgrading the AWS LMG as well but I've reverted back to my old faithful QBB.
I was impressed with the MG4 in passing so I may take a closer look at hit and got some upgrades for it.
In general a good few games were had with medium to good results depending on how distracted I was while also mining in Eve nullsec.

Eve Online saw me add a plex to train my main alt. So no PVP for him.
That now means I have 5 characters currently training skills. 2 mains & 3 alts on Three accounts.
Both mains are on very long skill queue plans and are subscribed.
My main alt is on a plex for 30 days but with a skill plan of 90 days. I'm not sure if that will continue or be "pruned" to be more sensible.
My Minmatar alt is on a skill plan of 30 days with 28 days of a plex remaining. I got to train the last of the Loki skills and actually sit in the ship, setup the fit and tweak it to my liking. It should do very well. Just the T2 weapons to finish up with and this should be 100% good to go. I am tempted to test it out in a level 4 but I'll have to ask a friend to be a primary wingman and see how things go before getting too cocky running things solo.
My null alt is subscribed for another 2 month's with 5 month's of skill training in a plan. I think I'll be extending the subscription for 3 month's to cover this and then I'll finally get to transfer this character to my main account. I thought that I would have transferred that alt before the last 3 month's but am determined to do it after the next 3 month's are done.

The more I want to better the alts the more it costs, time, money but with eve it's usually both, with luck I'll get to consolidate this alt and close off that account, fingers crossed sooner rather than later.

Overall skills queue's and PI interaction were the same as ever. My main activity with eve has revolved around my null alt doing mining and industry with some minor ratting.
Null has been fairly active with roaming and camping reds that really stopped me from ratting seriously. Industry has been going really well and the new changes are good. I've encountered no glitches. The amount of ore I can refine and use seems to have made making T1 ships a lot easier... or at least it seems to be.
I've been using up the bpc's this alt has been holding since forever, maybe I'll see a bit of profit or use the hulls for pvp down the line.

Great blog entry that mirrors a lot of my sentiment.....

And then I checked the skill queue's....

I have a personal "thing" that is compounded by a feature in Evemon.
The feature is a character skill comparison.
My "thing" is my need to skill up my mains to cover things the alts have trained before them (not so much), and to train my alts higher to semi keep up with the abilities of the mains (complicated and never ending).

So if I compare my characters and see that both mains have a skill at level 5, that 3 alts have the same skill to level 3 but that one alt only has that skill to level 2, that skill for that alt "must" be added to the skill queue list of things to train.
I've tried to tone down this by asking if the skill is really justified for that alt, but even in doing this teh skills stack up.

So my plan for my main alt to go do pvp because he had nothing to train has ended up with him having a list of 90 odd days worth of training.

Yes I compaired my characters last night and skills lists were made. EveHQ (I hope someone picks up it's development) and Evemon are great tools. They feed the "meta"game part of Eve and also my micromanagement devil inside me.

I read in the wow Beta patch notes that they were eliminating reforging (stat changes to items) because leaving the game, accessing a website or two (to find the proper way to reforge your gear re your full gear stats etc) was a step that they wanted to eliminate from the game.
Essentially removing the "meta" game from equipping a new item.
Wow is shunning that aspect, Eve embraces it.

Anyway, I'm left with a whole bunch of skill queue's that need attention and action on a lot of characters. .
Will I stop the plan to pvp and start the skill training.... the weekend will see.
