Another week in, another week out....
The new areas of Planet Crafter have been interesting, all adding to the mountain of 'stuff' I need to sort through and file away.
Lots to discover.
But that new and large wreck on the map is so much of a maze I had to f4 out of it. Screenshot as I went, cos of course I did, didn't help at all. So lots to return to.
With the Xbox Gamepass I finally got to try out Another Crab's Treasure. A decent game taht can be cute and as had as any soulslike game as you want; With a lot of features to overcome the game and play as you want. For me there wasn't that much of a middle ground I felt enjoyable long-term. I'd play, get to the next part and then stop. Till I just never went back to the game. Not even with a gun as his shell and all the OP features on.
Playing Heading Out, it's easy to get swept away with each run (an hour, hour and a half ish). I've been doing more than I thought I would with it, 'just' to experience the choices of the next journey.
Star Trek Online is as always the real staple of gaming, PC and Xbox. Dailies and doable fun of all sorts.
Just standing at the bank..... Drozana station is Drozana station....
Again news was interesting from Casual SAB and MC Stu.
I've taken my main on PC through the new episode. An Interesting one but kind of not as I'm more averse to multiverse things than say mirror side stuff. All in the eye of the beholder but none of it unplayable as most is still good story telling. Something the game is doing better imho (biased as I am)than the newer trek series's's's's's.
Star Trek Resurgence is a great game; For me it had a good mix of interaction and story via mini games/quick time events to be emotive and immersive. Wanting more of everything. Enough to want to replay decisions to see if alternative decisions have repercussions and consequences.
A game that sits in the post TNG movies/Voyager/DSN timeline. Some say a Trek sweet-spot and I'd agree.
It's a game that I'm sure would not be everyone's cup of tea but even for me I was surprised by some of the ending I've seen so far. Which I both liked but could see it having all worked out better in an everyone happy ending kind of way. I'm not sure if any of which I've experienced can be changed and I'm avoiding searching for answers as I want to try things out some more. Talk about consequences. Fun had, more to come.
Not a perfect game and the only element that I found 'off' were some of the cut-scenes as I presume my choice was not the 'optimal' or 'expected' decision so cut-scene mixing wasn't smooth as a consequence...
The graphics aren't amazing but the later in the game ther are some great graphics. The snow/environment areas are very very nice. For me it's unfair to say it's a mixed bag, that would be unjustified even if there are some questionable elements. None of which took me out of the game but embrace it. I'll be playing more regardless as it ticks all the boxes for me.
Eve Online is as Eve Online is. Each player to their own 'thing'. I've not been doing much at all. Ship spinning, asset faffing and P.I.
