With each try I've been adding a bit more difficulty, less practice (yes there was some practice), less qualifying time etc.
My last race was fairly good until the second last lap. That's when it all just fell apart. I may as well have been playing Wreckfest. No time penalties in that game AND they give you proper grass cutting equipment!
I'll have to finely tweak the rule-set to be realistic enough but with room to maneuver if I go any further with this game. As little of the game as I've played it does show it's very harsh towards the player in regard to time penalties, even if it was the A.I. car that rammed you from behind.
Last April F1 2015 was given away for free. Free being free I claimed it but had no real interest in playing it. It's been (many, many) years since I last had interest and got into an F1 game. In fact looking up the old game it's older than I thought and looks it!! That also means it's been way longer than I thought since I last watched and was a fan of the real F1.
Anyway I downloaded the game and took it for a spin. And spin I did, into the grass, the gravel and I ground the gears into oblivion.
It took a while to get the precision mindset right to play properly but even at that I'm "bad".
On it's initial release it was a game that many said it had problems in and out of game; But it never crashed for me and I never saw any in game glitches. Even the 360 controller I was using was fine to use. I can see how a wheel and pedals would be best but like the real world F1 I'm not that into it now. I might keep at the game but my initial run of it is enough for now.
