Star Trek Online....

Star Trek Online. Gameplay(or at least 90% of it) has been about daily event activities.

It's a lot easier on PC for me. I've a lot of buff's and bonuses to the account with the lifetime sub and a lifetime of event rewards etc. etc. I've continued gameplay on my latest alt of an alt's alt, from the last temporal recruit 'event' in an intentional 'lesser' ship.

Which has been fun in it's own right. Not that I'm gaming the systems or stats. It's just a fun, good ship with decent gear fitted. Again some players who spend hard cash on the game seem to expect that to win the game regardless; So they end up in groups and do less damage than they "should" as they consistently charge in and explode. Makes me chuckle but I'm sure after spending cash they aren't(not all but many).

On the PC side of events 'The Feast' and the end of a Red Alert 'phase' are currently on. Which all comes on the heels of the Halloween event. Which was really good. I enjoy it; Even with my gripes of PUG's lacking institutional knowledge from one run to the next..... Anyway. The current 'Feast' TFO options are thankfully mixed. Some old and some older TFO's across ground and space. So lots of options. I even like the details of the reward. So as per usual STO life goes on.

As casual as I am on PC, the Xbox iteration of gameplay is even moreso. That said I've been trying to gain more of the Klingon recruit transponder rewards as I go about doing the dailies.

Again fun to be had with the Halloween event. Yet I saw something in the events latter days that I've not seen in a while. AFK players. In one run on the three witches and cauldron room there was just me and one other player that had to persist to complete it. So somewhat annoying.

The current events are not so far behind the PC version these day's. The Emperors Will is nearly completed. I'm sure the Feast will start soon enough but I think they'll skip the Red Alert on console.
Then we'll be more synchronized for the Winter event. Another of my favorites.

So on Xbox I've been persisting with using my KDF recruit. In doing the Klingon Recruit I knew I was saving the worst till last. There's so much to do with that transponder, it's got the feel of a real chore. A perspective thing as I've done it all before on PC never mind the parts that are universal to all characters no matter what(And I've repeated the repeat stuff a lot lot). So I've been cheery picking and choosing the quicker, 'easier' tasks. Yet there's still an awful lot of undone grey in it's listings.

The character himself isn't all that bad gear wise. I've stuck with the Klingon set as it's melee weapon is part of the set and doing melee kills is a big part of the transponder grind. All despite it being neon pink. I've noting against the colour; Neon pink may be akin to Klingon blood(Undiscovered Country!) but if the set glowed red all the time it would be a lot 'cooler'. There are other weapons in game that are and 'feel' a lot better as a KDF. Anyway it all works out well enough(his officers have the newer Kuumaarke Visionary set.

There's a problem with his Duty officers that no matter the amount of correct officers I get they don't seen to be listed or be usable. I've more than one R&D officer yet I can only do one R&D project despite having free project slots for more. Feels like I'm missing something(probably obvious).
If it's not the officers it's the doff missions for them that's not showing. Marauding missions are few and far between. That said I know I should go to get more directly from areas in space.... But casual is casual.

Admiralty is chugging along just fine!
