Another game that ticks a lot of boxes for my gameplay wants and needs. A game I picked up on sale last summer yet never got into. I don't really know why tho. A game Steam says I've put 40 minutes in. On the surface that time seems hardly a try. The game's more polarizing than I thought I guess. A clear case of if it clicks it clicks and if it doesn't, well it won't be played.
I've played and had bad universe spawns.... I've played and it's been 'ok'. Maybe it's the RNG that's off-putting. A game that's easy to play and hard to master. Worse if the universe you can't see yet is already working against you. The stakes are high and as the game description say's: "In Slipways, every action you take has immediate consequences, and every choice you make is of paramount importance"; So maybe it's not the causal game I once thought it was. When they said it was serious it really was serious. Slap in the RNG and it's no wonder I've not put more time into it.
I've played the sandbox mode in efforts to mess about and learn more from doing; But it's not offering motivation to push through random acts(be they actual random or game rule punishing).
Starting a run I can tell from the get get-go if I want to play a map and 99.99% of the time I'm thinking it's not worth playing; do that for three runs in a row and I go do something else....
Yea another game that's been reassessed and uninstalled(for now?).
