Another week, time is flying. This last weekend being Easter was very 'ungamey'; Real life, pesky pesky real life getting in the way.
Noah Caldwell-Gervais did How Many Clicks Does It Take To Get to the Center of Diablo? [A Franchise Retrospective] but I've not yet had time to watch more than the first minute.
I'm not sure Phil Spencer re Xbox service on any device is a 'good' thing.... Too many unknowns. Especially from the 'xbox peeps'; But what do I know.
Really great new update in No Man's Sky, the Orbital Update has a Trailer; But I'm still an observer. I can't even bring myself to restart a play-through; Even with great guides like those form Jason Plays
Mass Effect 5, never thought I'd say that name; But the more this year goes on the more it's 'mentioned'.
With the sale still on on Steam I purchased the game Suzerain after watching the first few episodes of a playthrough from The Historical Gamer : Suzerain: Rizia | New Game | First Look | Getting Started | Part 1
VaatiVidya had a good video on How to Fully Prepare for Elden Ring's DLC
I've not got the game never mind think about the DLC but it's all interesting watching.
Taliesin & Evitel had more on the PLUNDERSTORM Debate
And Miju Games has the 1.0 version coming10th of April 2024! They have a new trailer out:
Speaking of which I'm all done with the current 'Portal' content; There's only so much excess 'stuff' I can handle. I'm so late game I've repeated so much it's not worth it now. I'll wait for the next update and mammals.
After a call from my Helldivers II friend we've talked things through; Sounds more serious than it is. That said if I'd waited to play the game with him and 'his' team I'd still be waiting. So I'm glad to have it refunded.... Till I see it for a cheap sale price down the line.
Eve Online has again not seen much gameplay. The usual. My real life friend has returned to the game ans subbed again. He took me up on an offer I'd mailed him about when he bailed the last time. Which he took me up on. I fronted the isk for skill extractors, we extracted skills on his defunct alt main, I sold them keeping the fronted isk plus 20% of the remaining profits. Which covered a slight profit for me after the taxes; But which helped boost his wallet by one and a half billion or so. Fair to say this cheered him up. I've since received another mail from him regarding BPO's he planning and industry plotting he's doing. Noting like a liquid cash injection to motivate things.
On the flip side I've still not done a thing with my mains re my own plan to gain loyalty points for BPC's... Talk about lacking motivation.
Darkest Dungeon has seen some minor gameplay without getting back to the Crimson Court. I'm still working on the roster. Safe to say I'm overdoing it on the safety front. No surprise given my gameplay tenancies. Still no rush.
Regardless of newer DLC I've found myself back in PowerWash Simulator. Finishing off the remaining bonus content. I'll still wait for the DLC to go on sale or as a bundle/sale before 'reconsidering'....
With the release of partch 1.6 for Stardew Valley I've been back to it. A bit of a slow return in getting used to what I had the farm and proesses; But safe to say I'm back to it. Some co-op gampaly as well with my wife has been interesting.
So much content about the new content it's a lot to take in at times.
Stardew Valley 1.6 has a HUGE secret... for the Terraria crossover.
Which has me rethinking on what I've done in game in the past. Wish I Knew These Earlier In Stardew Valley...
And in turn seeing one thing I'd skipped was the Movie Theater. Stardew Valley: Everything You Need To Know About The Movie Theater
Lots to do....
Star Trek Online is still the seen the most gameplay from me. Both PC and Xbox playthrough's getting a attention. A lot happening in game and out.
The anniversary gifts have indeed returned to the game on Xbox but if claimed already then they are not 'reclaimable'; No double bonus there. Fair enough.
Otherwise gameplay is gamplay. My dublicate(triple on PC) KDF alts are doing Endevors and gaining perk points.
Xbox is an easier process for that than on PC as I've less to gain with space perks on PC(so more ground tasks keep popping up). That said some days are better than others with the random tasks(no re-rolls needed). RNG is RNG.
The change to the current PC event TFO(the better one) has seen a change in player behaviour. Instead of players jumping at every fresh spawn; It's been changed to one player per point (two one as there are 5 players and 4 points). I'll not bore with details but it's been interesting to see the lessening of AFK players.
