Star Trek :D

This may be a late night thought process/waffle thing but I've come to the conclusion that if I completely ignore the new Star Trek series as being anything to do with Star Trek, it's not half bad..... Kind of.... well maybe not even that but it's different... very very different.

As a Trek fan.... considering it as part of Star Trek..... It's frigging atrocious, an abomination that needs a flamethrower set on it a.s.a.p.

The longer you are subjected to something the more "normalised" you become to it.... After episode 4 I've been normalised to it.... I'm not asking "why" any more.
I'm not paying for it and I dont' intend to.... I'm watching it because it really is that 'different'....  

But it's sci-fi.... None of it is real Star Trek, it's a warped (pun?) strange sci-fi Trekish (inspired?) show.... The same way a straight to DVD WW2 'B' movie is about WW2 when there are Nazi Zombies in it.....


The Orville is so much more entertaining and watchable.....

Star Trek.... In name only

Such a pity the new series is crippled by corporate needs. One I'll be ignoring for sure... Well I'll probably watch it for the sake of it but I'll not be considering it as Star Trek.... If that makes any sense....

At least there is hope in something with intentional fun in The Orville.
