It was a pity to hear that they are no longer supporting the single player side of the Mass Effect: Andromeda. So much for the long term franchise, never mind any ongoing PvE playerbase, there will now be a lack of trust in what can be delivered. I know I was iffy about the game before it came out, but now if a new Mass Effect is in the works I'm going to be waiting for proof to purchase rather than jumping headlong into pre-purchase. With no more patches and the binning of the DLC content that really is a kick in the teeth for gamers who got the game. The games redemption seems to be too much hassle for them to work on and thats a pity for the francise and the gamers who got the game.
At least they have multiplayer.......

Multi in Andromeda....
I don't even remember ever looking at the multiplayer option of Mass Effect 3. Andromeda's in comparison is superior, or so I have read. From what I've seen the multiplayer is both a.i. squad based PVE and co-op PVE. Both are up against waves of enemies. Horde mode rather than straight up traditional PVP multiplayer. I like it already.
MEA's multiplayer horde mode has made the game look a lot more appealing to me, more so than the solo campaign coverage I've see so far.
There is no immersion break in regard to the animations during the fast action combat of this multiplayer mode.
Seeing the multiplayer combat in action has made mee view the combat dash and jetpack in a new light.
Randomised daily maps seem to be the way they want to keep interest going. Along with player made custom maps with lots of randomisation options and modifiers to make a match more interesting.
I love the franchise and I want the game to be great but even with this new information and more good points, I think I'll still be waiting a while to get this game.
They do seem to be addressing some of the issues brought up since launch.

Star Trek Online Andromeda....
I had to laugh when I read about the latest STO item sale. It's clearly a poke at Mass Effect Andromeda.
"The Andromeda class, of course, if named after a distant galaxy, and you can assume control of this powerful ship to find your path in Star Trek Online. And whether you’re a Commander or a Captain"

One last time.....
I think I'll be waiting for some time to pick this game up.
So one last time a few more thoughts and opinions worth a watch.....

More Mass Effect Andromeda....
I've been reading and viewing a lot more reviews, thoughts and opinions. I've come to the conclusion that some of the odd characteristics/stances of the in game humanoids remind me too much that this game is the Muppet Baby version of Mass Effect. I can't shake that comparison. It's a head size, body action animation thing.
There are a lot of comparisons being made with this version of Mass effect and it's three predecessors, specifically the first Mass effect game. Unfortunately for Andromeda being compared to a 2007 game isn't coming out in it's favour.
Maybe Andromeda is suffering form a form of exaggerated Michael Bay lens flare on steroids.
Despite all that and my not having any hands on gameplay experience; I've seen a video that I agree with, as it sums up my overall thoughts an feelings on the game:

Balanced review and a playthrough....
I've been avoiding news and information about Andromeda. That hasn't been successful today since the games embargo period just ended and the internet has exploded with all kinds of information.
So far I'm not sold on the game, not for any technical reason I just don't like jetpack mechanics in my rpg/shooters. I'll wait for more details when people see further into the campaign and get a better feel for the games overall balance.
A balanced initial review worth a look:
An interesting playthrough from a youtuber and seasoned Mass Effect player:

The vids and articles above are the more rounded overview and experiences of the game.
There is however a torrential downpour of other vids and articles that contain the more bandwagon criticisms. The good? The bad and the ugly.....
Not sure about this starter playthrough review, it's not 'good' but it's better than the next two vids below:
