Euro Truck Sim 2....

The latest event was a surprise to me. Not that I was up to date with what should be upcoming. It's an interesting one Operation Genoa Bridge. An in game mimic of a real world event. A way of making an in game change feel real rather than 'just' appearing after an update.

This had me thinking about Eve Online. The update to the Jita trade hub station is 'just happening' automatically if slowly but with no interaction from players. Would have been cool if player interactions sped up the process and those that did help received some sort of recognition. Missed opportunities there. Not so in SCS's ETS2. Really good chill, no hassle, no pressure event. I found myself driving in the game and enjoying it just by doing it. So much so that I've not even really read about the rewards.

A cool paint job and a 'Plush Terra Road Roller' that does look cute.

I've taken the chance with this event to do some more company management/consolidation and truck tweaking. Nothing major, just removing small garages that I've no use for and moving driver/trucks into upgraded ones. Changing my personal trucks configurations and paint jobs. I've gotten a lot done pottering about between the event jobs. It's been a long time since I've spent so much time in one day totally dedicated to ETS 2.

To go along with the event there's a bundle on Steam that's well worth it for anyone new looking to hop into the game. Operation Genoa Bridge BUNDLE
