It's fair to say that I'm well and truly 'into' PowerWash Simulator.
As I've waffled previously, it's a niche game. It's both easy and hard to explain the game and understand why players 'like it'. It's got ASMR values. It's got both business and 'neat freak' micromanagement. It's got a completionist factor(but it's not 100% satisfaction there). The name of the gamer doesn't do it justice in trying to explain what a player can get from it. It's got so many ways in which it brings satisfaction on so many levels. It's fun and funny. From bank robbers hiding in the woods, bigfoot sightings and water on mars.
It's a game with a satisfaction feedback loop. The more you do the more you enjoy the more you gain in game and back to the more you can do..... Is it too corny to say.... Rinse and repeat!?!
Yea I'm finding it too easy a game to play. Lots of Xbox(even as I play it on PC) achievements as well.
That's a lot of in game jobs! I'm finding it hard that I've done so much already.
As hard as it may be for some casual observers who think this kind of game or spending time on this type of game is nuts..... Time flies when you're having fun. Ultimately each to their own.
I've only had two issues with the game. Once when doing the mayors manor it seemed to reset my progress a bit (as seen in the repay) which was frustrating but not game ending.
The other in regard to the game shop for the cleaning products(liquids). The are not 100% necessary but they do help a lot on certain jobs but the issue is that it takes an age for them to restock!
For some players that have a 100% need for completion they could be frustrated by the game not allowing 100%'ing of certain dirt. There is a leeway for completion. Clean 99% of a roof and you will see there's more to do but the game decides you've done 100% after one more swing of the sprayer and 'ding's' it complete, therefore removing your ability to actually powerwash 100% of what you see. I'm not irked by that but given the game and it's niche I can see how that could be a problem. I see it as a good thing, as a balance to make sure there isn't player frustration trying to gain that last %. I've not looked to see if there are any in game options to change/alter that.
Niche as it may be, you're only going to know what you feel for the game once you've tried it.
That said it's a pity the old demo is no longer available. I'd like to have seen it(Wayback machine has a listing but no download / Internet archive maybe).
