For the most part given it's age it's a decent game. 'Some' of the mechanics are more awkward than janky. Animations look out of place rather than being unworkable. It has the same x-ray bullet cam and the same sniper, stealth mechanics. But it's just not a game I can't get into. Maybe I've been spoilt by playing the last two games. As it's the original Xbox 360 version of the game I can say that it does feel crude by comparison. Time has moved on and so has the franchise, for the better. It's a product of it's time, but it's all to easy to see what was updated and why in 3 and 4. Which is to be expected. That said I've not delved very deep into it v2. I'm sure the remastered version is worth a shot if your more into the franchise or if you have nostalgia for the second game(the graphical/sound updates do look good).
It just hasn't click with me the way the other two have done. It was worth a look to see at least.
