STO....
A return to The Mirror Universe Invasion! For three weeks from Thursday, November 9th at 8AM PST, and ending on Thursday, November 30 at 10AM PST
14 day's of reputation handin's will reward 50,000 Dilithium Ore, 500 Fleet Marks, 250 Marks of Your Choice and a brand new unique ground weapon, Mirror Universe Phaser Dual Pistols.
Once unlocked by one character those new dual pistols can be claimed by all your characters. Nice.
Even nicer is that all you characters can do the handin's to each receive the 50k Dilithium and marks!
Cha-ching!
GRW....
Over the last three day's I've put in some time doing Ghost Recon Wildlands co-op mode. My third character was started as a pure, no other levelling outside of co-op character. You know, for the 'experience'.
It's been a process of development over time. The main challenge with the character has been the lack of a decent assault rifle that also have a silencer.
So whats changed between now and when I first started doing co-op... It seems that experienced players have moved on to other things like PvP or different games altogether. Those that are still in game are levelling up their tier and all seem to be grouped with friends. But the more things change the more they stay the same. Still no communication, no typing, no talk whatsoever. So no teamwork let alone community spirit. It seems the push from the devs like the community post has fallen on deaf ears. That post was called Trust or Die, but my experience in co-op is Trust AND Die. Die because the driver/pilot has bailed from the vehicle etc. etc. etc. Stuff like that can be funny a few times in certain circumstances; But when it's done out of malice it gets old fast. Specifically if a very cliquey group gets random people in to abuse and blame.
I now feel very negative about co-op. Of the weekend time I put in about 6 hours or so I got noting done. My character barley levelled and didnt' get any useful gear and no new missions completed.
That's not to say that all co-op is bad, it's not. With friends or a random group that is cooperating I've enjoyed great gameplay. But finding a random group like that is very, very rare.
I ended up repeating the same mission (underground data center) for 90% of the groups I joined. What is with that. Also for a mission with a line stating that the data center is UNDERGROUND, the amount of players that go to the mission marker point but ON TOP of the hill is facepalm inducing.
So when a person who tries to explain what to do and where to do it is ignored by the group .... frustration.
In saying that there were two good groups, even if they were not long experiences. One where they were hunting resources and another that spent time to complete 4 missions in a row. With actual teamwork and communication.
I also came across a few groups that just Alt-F4 when things got hard. Which in turn leads to a lot of host migration. Both annoying.
My own experiences with unwanted escalations has lead to great fun, especially when you run Unidad into SB forces and they start shooting at each other as well as you. Mix in rebels to taste.
Superior firepower rules the day, a thing that a no tactic, no communication group should understand.
"When in doubt, RPK out"....
I won't waffle on further about what I've experienced.
For my character I've reimagined him again. A return to his roots, a reinvented grey man, and a return to The Llama rifle.
With a silenced sniper rifle and pistol I decided a return to The Llama for it's power and speed.
The random nature of the people you meet in co-op is just that, random. Some good, some bad.
I won't say I will never return to co-op but so far it's still in a place I'd visit to see what it's like rather than stay longterm as a gamemode. If it was the only way to level I'd have bailed on the game a long time ago.
Overall how do I best describe my weekend of co-op experiences..... this video does it best.
STO....
I feel like I'm missing out on why there is a current trend in short characters.....
There seems to be way more of them than there used to be.....

Stardew Valley....
With the centre bundles progressing there has been some story line elements happening.
Like the sewer fist fight. Funny stuff.
All in all I'm biding my time now. Summer is peek time for the farm, once I've seen to the animals and crops there isn't that much time left for the orchard, farm maintenance, some slight foraging and to then see to the crab pots.
Some day's are better than others but summer is a money maker. High 20's to mid 40's, 30k ish a day isn't a bad average..... Even for a none streamlined set of processes in my lax operation.
The secret to large 'other' sales for the day..... Truffles. Pigs were the best investment. There are other processed goods that are worth it but truffles are less hassle. Granted they do vary the amount they find from day to day and don't collect any in winter but they are a money maker in the other seasons.
Winter is for dungeoneering anyway.
The crab pots have helped level up the fishing without having to actually do fishing. They wont' help me catch what I need to finish off the community centre bundles; But at least it is helping make that easier when I do get back around to it.

AC Origins....
I like the look of the game, it seems to be a departure from the usual AC games.
I've not been into any of the older titles. I think I got about halfway though the first ever AC game. Even Blackflag didnt' get me to stay with it for more than an hour. The free versions I've gotten through Xbox gold and the like have all been unplayed. But this new version with it's Ghost Recon/Far Cry Ubisoft mechanics and feel appeals to me.
I've other games to get through first so this is one I'll be putting on the back burner until it's got all it's patches and extra content bundled for a sale price. It's not a perfect game but it is good and with time could be great.
ACG had a good review video as well as another about the little details the game has.

CoD WW2....
I'll not be getting the game even with it's superb graphics, it's just that I've been there and done that with so many of CoD's previous titles.
I've never seen so much content being put out ahead of a games release. So with all the content already out I don't think there is much I'll miss.

Stardew Valley....
Pottering about with more items has cleared all but the last (main room) of the bundles from the community centre.
It may take some time and luck to clear the last room. But a drive to finish it and move on to then clear the wizard quest is the real driving factor. It's just that it all revolves around ... fishing....
I did finish off the casino access quiet quickly and on the 8th or so spin of a slot machine gained me 25000 casino chips. Enough to buy what I wanted without spending that much gold (for chips). The Top Hat and the Alien Rarecrow... That was a bit too easy.

WoW....
WoW classic has hit me with so much nostalgia I'm willing to forgive a lot of the older mechanics....
Like farming soul shards as a warlock before going to a dungeon....
Like needing a mod to help not out aggro the tank....
Like trying to avoid PvP rogues....
Or calculating the old talent tree...
With a new team and a new version of Vanilla WoW I'm sure there will be lots of news to come.

West World Online....
While I'm a less enthusiastic about it now (so many games so little time) West World Online is making a lot of progress in it's development. But with Red Dead 2 coming out I think I'd more enjoy that cowboy experience than an online version. But never say never..... F.A.Q.
Hitman....
I've been progressing in Colorado. The farm map is large but has a high population which in turn makes it feel smaller in area's. Especially when multiple patrols cross path's around rooms that have multiple occupants. So the latter half of the challenges are proving a little more tricky timing wise but overall not so bad. Frustration hits when you've been stealthy going past 10 patrols but get spotted by the 11th for the 5th time....
I'm looking forward to the return of the first elusive target.
As well as the game improvements. The new content, changes and updates are growing on me so that the extra cost is now more 'justifieable' to my mind.

WoW....
With Blizzcon this weekend Blizzard do seem to be putting war back into warcraft.
Of all the new features I was most interested in the new classic announcement. Doing what a lot of unofficial servers have been doing until recently. I find an appeal in returning the the game in an era or state when I first started to play. That's not to say I dont' like a lot of the newer quality of life changes to the game. But there was more meaning to AV battles that took a lot of time not to mention the raids to AQ, Blackwing and Zul'Gurub. Nostalgia galore. Living in a world longtime rather than just for a single expansion. Living in a world where not only you have a max level but the entire population is 'capped' is also appealing. Want to have all the best gear etc and having a character that can't be upgraded further is also appealing in a completionist way.
Lots of details are yet to be delivered and I'm sure there will be plenty of changes until it's final release.
Too many....
Either because of sales, client specific software, rewards etc. The amount of gaming clients needed is getting ridiculous....

GRW....
Season 4 Episode 5 lists more community challenges and rewarded with Tier Boosters.... Glad I'm done with that. Even if the reward was different I doubt I'd even try these.
Stardew Valley....
Although I've done a lot in the game and I'm not in any rush with it, I've reached a stage where I'd consider it near an end game state. I decided to look up some more info and make a list of what my end game really looks like.
For the "main" storyline I still have to do:
- Community Centre bundles (lots of fish types and 1 summer fern needed).
Which is a prerequisite for:
- Wizard quest line and the building of the teleport obelisks.
I also need a Rainbow shell for the casino access quest line so like the fern above my next summer season should do it. Not that I need casino winnings, I'm not lacking gold now but there are some special items to claim.
It would be nice to get:
- Final museum items (8 or so)
- Last Stardrops. A longshot but if it happens great.
And as a longshot:
- Proper greenhouse setup/use. I'm not that pushed as I'm doing more with cattle/sheep etc.
So all in all still a longer road ahead.
One comment I read in relation to the end game was:
...................... "you're never really 'done' until you decide you are."
My recent gameplay has seen me max out foraging. I ended up taking lumberjack.
The only skill left to level up is the fishing. I've been working on it. Mainly for the bundles in the community centre. With a rod upgrade it's been easier but I've not been into any form of fishing in any game. At least now I also have the crab pots.
I've also checked out what mods are available. I've never been big into any mod scene. I doubt that I'll do any of these for Stardew but there are lots of interesting ones. To me there are more cosmetic mods more worthy of mention.
For changing the look of items I was interested in the BB8 pet change and the change for weapons into lightsabers. As well as a change for the horse into a tractor.
Then again for better more helpful gamplay there was the Fast Geode processing....
As well as the unnofficial co-op mod.....

Everspace....
Everspace's new DLC/expansion has gotten another good review 9/10. It's a game I've enjoyed for a while; The new content adds a lot more gameplay and enhanced story. I can't recommend it enough, well worth the buy.

STO....
It's that time again. The Lifetime Subscription Sale is here... Time again to weight up the rewards.
I have to say I'm tempted but unlike last time, this time around I'm leaning more to the not get it side....
Wish upon a port pt2....
Quantic Dream's game Detroit: Become Human caught my attention when they released the first trailer. It's an amazing looking game. I've played some of the previous similar games like Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) on PC and Heavy Rain on the PS3..... The new game is a PS4 exclusive that has really, really gotten my attention. This new trailers add to my interest. Now does that mean it warrants the purchase of a new system; Me being all about the Xbox, I doubt it. But I'll be keeping my eye's open for future console sales and bundles etc...

VR be gone....
If it's true, it seems that CCP is removing all VR development. Talk about cutting your losses. CCP were "so" into VR development and now it's just going. That news makes me even more convinced that the change of Eve Valkyrie to be a non VR game was an attempt to get customers; Get customers so they could milk any who stayed in the game before letting it die a slow and lingering death a la Dust 514... Cash grab CCP at it again. Steam stats are not kind to the game. Who knows how long they will leave it running, I doubt it will be over a year. The longer they dont' develop it the more players will look elsewhere. Says a lot about CCP when the only game that lasts is Eve Online and that's a constant knife edge balancing act. Not that they learn from any of it at all....
Makes me look at the Eve Vegas presentation in a new light.
