Hitman....

The content reveal for Hitman turns out to be the Game of the Year Edition. I'm really liking the look of the extra content that's in it. But I am disappointed that the updates are not totally free for those already with Season One. The Elusive Target Re-activation is a great addition and one I'll be doing to gain the extra suits. I'd missed a lot of those as I'd not gotten the game yet.

The new separate mini campaign makes this a half/mid season.... Season 1.5. And it doesn't look like it's been half assed so although I've got mixed feelings about the cost, the new content does look like it's worth it..... I just have a niggling feeling about the cost that's annoying me...

South Park: TFBW

Given the coverage the game is getting I can't really go through or say anything that hasn't already been said by 100 reviewers... It's a great game on so many levels, well worth it imho.

jacksepticeye has some interesting gameplay:

Stardew Valley....

Stardew is a game I find I can hop into easily, do a few bits or a game 'day' quickly enough and still feel progression and accomplishment.

I get why people play the likes of this type of game on Facebook, but I've also seen games like that be taken away or closed down and loose all a players progress.... My wife has had a few of those.
I much prefer a game I can call my own. As for the greater game companies looking to make games a service..... Not for me I want to keep what I buy or invest in.... "shakes fist at Eve Online".

But as heavy as the games as a service debate can be I was hit with a question after a long day on the farm and in the mines......

The longer story lines do take a while but seasons pass only as fast as you want them to. If you plan to do all things then it does take time and the clock is ticking. I've found myself with lots to do and not much in game time to do it. Given that all the NPC's do their own things in their own schedules it can be hectic. Damn the towns aerobics class!

I've gotten good progress in the Community Centre packages and got the green house.

I've only the main room and the noticeboard to complete. But given that a lot of those require fish I doubt I'll get that done any time soon. I just can't do the fishing in the game.

GRW....

Tier 3 is here..... It didn't take much effort at all. The built in boost is at 200+ percent so the last "Ding's" to the end shouldn't take long.... Not that I'm rushed about it.....

In doing the last few missions to get the latest tier I came across a burned body at a camp site with a grave and a dog..... Not something I've seen before but the game is so big it could have been missed even if this isn't new.... Is it new?

STO....

I've not been levelling my Romulan much at all. Mainly doing red alerts on my main for the choice of tokens, then using those tokens for the faction "20hour" reputation missions. Aiming for vouchers for my other captains to ease their grind... Most may not get to do many reputations but I want them to be get the max benefits for what they do get to do.  My Science and Engineer received a voucher each and maxxed out the chosen rep in what seemed like no time/effort.
Today also showed something new, a team I was in failed to compete a red alert.... Never seen that happen before! My main is still levelling up his ships mastery.

My main also amassed all characters R&D materials.... I still have to idea what I can do with them.  Some do seem to sell well.....

Plumbers Unite....

In my recent Hitman gameplay I've taken to clearing the new Sapienza 'Plumbers Apprentice' challenge. To again have Sapienza 100% completed.

The 'Plumbers Apprentice' are not the hardest challenges for the map, but fun to do and that's not bad.

Fun fact, not heavily tested but in an area where I've been trespassing in a plumbers outfit, if you climb a pipe you are no longer trespassing. Reach the top or bottom of the pipe and your trespassing again. Sapienza the real Mario/Luigi playground.

Only two more area's to go through. The next map (the Farm in Colorado) from all I've heard is frustratingly difficult at times. The last map in Japan I've been in before for an assassination and seemed fun. Time will tell for both....

Capital Ship Combat....

Capital ship combat seems to have two games worthy of noting....

The newer Fractured Space game seems to have capital ship combat in space...

&

The older Dreadnought game which has capital ship combat on planets....

Both slightly different and not treading too much on each other. While I've never followed up on Dreadnought and I will probably not do anything for Fractured Space, it's all interesting game mechanics....

Fractured Space has ship crews....

Next 3 Steam Sales leaked....

Nooooooooooooo my kryptonite!!!!!!!!!!

The next three Steam Sales seem to have been leaked. One each month for the rest of the year.

That's a lot of sales...
  • Steam Halloween Sale: October 26, 2017 - November 1, 2017
  • Steam Autumn Sale: November 22, 2017 - November 28, 2017
  • Steam Winter Sale: December 21, 2017 - January, 2018

GRW....

I'm all for getting tweaks and fixes from patches and the last patch (title update 8) seemed lacking for the size. "4,7GB on Steam and 9,5GB on Uplay. On consoles, this patch is up to 11GB depending on the version already installed.". It was more like it's a preparation for something else.....
Apparently the early November patch is to be small and the later November update is to be larger and include new PvP additions (new class etc). If only there was some more main game solo love...
Tomorrow's patch 8.2, is all about the PvP. From the sound of it the thermal vision fix is well needed. I know I'd be peeved off getting killed like that and knowing my luck it would've be a constant pain....

South Park: TFBW

The new South Park game is great, I've laughed and gigged my way through so far and I'm only a few hours in. No speed run needed I'm taking my time to savour.....

Starting the game as a toilet break from where the last game left off, class.

GRW....

I may have gotten the El Tio mask last Monday but with the official challenge out I had to retrace those steps. For the sake of completeness if nothing else.

I found that actually doing the challenge was straight forward enough. However step two seemed to not recognise me clearing two of the area's twice so that was a pain. Fast travel away and then back and reclear, not the worst bug but....

I wish this type of challenge was the mainstay of the challenge system. New content that's not just a go to z kill x with y. Even if there were just a few more like this and the Yeti challenge that were even repeatable. I know the game has moved on and PvP is the development focus.

Darkest Dungeon....

I'm not into Vinyl, I think the last time I even touched a record player was as a kid in my grans donkey's years ago; But the LP's for Darkest Dungeon do look cool.

Cities Skylines....

I wont' be getting the latest "Green" expansion but the raft of extras/fixes you get with the latest patch is very interesting. Key for me was to see that there was a Noise Pollution overhaul; Some citizens could never be pleased.

WoW....

My favourite time of the year in wow is when the Hollows End event is on. I'll usually do all the quests with most if not all of my characters. Which after a day or two will be found in the Inn of one of the small towns in order to 'save it' on a regular basis.

This week also sees an Outlands timewalking event. So outside of the usual dungeons to level up non 110 characters, there are the timewalking and the headless horseman takedown.... With all of those on the go you'd think there would be no waiting times.....

4 Min waiting time my azz!

Hitman....

Sometimes you just have to take the plunge.....

GRW: EL TIO DE LA MINA LEGEND

Apt for the time of year but as much as I'm all for new customisation it's the trailer for the challenge I really like El Tio de la Mina Challenge.

STO....

I saw an article linked on Facebook, worth a share as I agree on the points it raises about Star Trek Online.

http://massivelyop.com/2017/10/18/perfect-ten-why-star-trek-online-is-an-underrated-mmorpg/

In all my time in STO I've never felt any need to pay let alone be forced.
The amount of "store" items I've gotten for free via in game promotions, free or through earnings is testament to that. Like being able to gain Dilithium, convert it to Zen, save up and shop away... If you want it all a.s.a.p then cash for time is king like other games but I've not needed it.

So, so, so true....

Guilty on multiple counts....

Eve Online....

It's funny how many hardcore PvP pilots/corps/alliances are discussing Industrial topics for the coming expansion. Funny that industry is being called PvE and ironic that it in turn is being discussed by PvP(ers) with such vigour...... Just saying....

STO....

I've been faffing around with my Romulan character doing some missions and ship upgrades/changes. She is now level 50, just 10 more to go to max out.

I've come to the conclusion that my characters are best in the new trio of T6 Temporal ships I got from the store. It seems a waste to not use them for everything suited. I also realised that my main captains mess about T5-U Meshweaver has the best compatible fit to make that change painless.

My Romulan character will need a little work at 60 to make a fit work but by that time she should be on par with my Klingon captain. I'm not worried about gearing them up really well. It's my more mainstream captains that I'll spend more time/zen/credits on.

With my characters putting most of their dilithium into the exchange to get Zen I was able to get the 250 needed to buy the extra 2 outfit slots.

My Romulan character will finish up a long arc of levelling up my characters.
It's been a long road since the start of the game on my initial run through tactical captain. Getting both 23rd century science and engineering captains was great. After them it was a change of perspective that was needed, hence my Klingon and then Romulan captains.... Whats next?

There is a little level 10 tactical 23rd century captain I created as a (name) placeholder for a previous alien captain I created way back when.... And now that I've got more character slots....
I have options but time will tell; For now I'm not sure. I really should put more time and effort into my top three Federation captains. They are after all my "mains" and with one of each class it makes more sense...

All just ants in an mmo maze....
