Another week another bout of Eve Online...

No plan remains unchanged when it first meets the enemy. As the saying goes.
The same can be said for plans of gameplay on a weekend.
Eve saw a lot of play, mainly on my now nullsec alt.

My eve sessions are still usually started with PI and skill checks on three characters.

I have Both mains happily chugging along.
I didnt' get to do anything on my Amarr alt, I think the back burner will take this one as I have no wish to try and kick off a new corp.

The weekend saw my Minmatar alt collect some far flung bits .. .sold off some hulls and bought a Mammoth, rigged it and fitted it up as a main hauler.
So there was a lot of faffing about and hauling stuffs.

I've been wanting to try out a lvl 4 in the tempest on this character for some time since last updating skills, the last week has seen this being delayed.
“Gone berserk” was a mission given so I declined it as it was going to be way too hard to do, the Duo mission is the one I know only has two main BS's and a few smaller ships.  Thats a good test.
So last night I took the plunge and accepted it. I took out the 3 or so guard towers, and both webbing spider drones easily enough, the two battleships were another story.

At first I was not making a dent, yet they were certainly making one on me. After warping out and back in I was closer to my optimal range and about 2 more warpouts on each I was able to take them down. The warpout's were mainly due to a lack of cap to maintain the repper.
40 minutes for the weakest of lvl 4 missions is a waste. But I was glad to have completed the mission. To have tried and tested it. Level three's melt under the tempest, if I do any more rep grinding I'll be doing that instead. I doubt there is any improvement with this character, despite the few skills I added on. No more lvl 4's solo. A corp for these may need to be found ... or get the char back into the faction warfare... will see.

With another alt back in a null-sec alliance, my main has fitted out a few ships to use.
The weekend saw a lot of transferring and ferrying of ships and gear.  Including a belt ratting drake, a PI hauler ( old Iteron III ), an old badger T1 fitted with 2 stabs, procurer etc. Not great but they will do the job and be more cost effective as time goes on.
Once the isk starts to roll in they can be upgraded and replaced.
Excitement came when moving the Iteron III ( new names I can't remember ). Even with the number of war decs, yes that was a silly thing to do … REDS EVERYWHERE!

Lucky I had fitted it with 2 warp stabilisers. As it was locked up, and attacked but had the grace to warp away before a second volley would hit home and melt the shields.

It’s a really good feeling to see a flight of missiles in the air halfway to me .. then I pass them on a warp out ! Better still to see a faction ship "with all mod cons" think its got a soft kill, only to see me slip away. Niiiiice.

After that I got my main for ferry the gear to the last hi-sec jump off point.

I also got to fly a pod about null getting to bookmark the Jump Bridges and some safe spots…
The corp bookmarks are legend and I’ll have to see about getting my own copy of them…
This is the second time I'll have had a character live in this area and the last corp didn't have anywhere near the amount of tactical bookmarks.
This alt has setup 4 command center’s to harvest some PI materials. But will need to start off some ratting to get the isk together before that gets off the ground fully.
I also got a few jump clones sorted, always nice.

Null does look to be filled with good sites…. I just have to get into a fleet or two… the ratting should be good. Belt ratting should be easy for now.

Being part of a big null sec alliance again is a great feeling. It really is the opposite of Hi-sec life .. Hi-sec is the most dangerous place. Null is the safest.

On another alt ... what I call my main alt. Or best described as the alt with the most SP, is skilling up well. On the road to getting into a tengu.

With luck the next few month's will see access to a good WH corp.
