My install of BF1 did an uncharacteristic crash resetting my graphics settings. While I don't remember the way I had things exactly, I know I had them more 'PvP optimised'. This time round I held onto things that strict PvP settings would discount. One setting that has returned is motion blur, I think I had that off altogether. While it might not be 'optimal' for PvP it does make the game look and feel more visceral. At least for me. Weapon reloading still gets me killed more then anything graphical ever could.
Crash faffing aside I still had a bit of fun with the game this week. The theme 'Turning Tides' is a mixed bag, mainly small combat skirmishes around domination points on larger maps. It can be interesting with intense combat. I ended up being with some good random squads which was nice.
I've still got some game.
