The new expansion is proving to be continually interesting. The story-lines are developed and crossover is great to see for multiple characters perspectives. I'm still taking my time with the content.
Even with my main I'm having a challenge with the incoming dps during space battles. It's feels more harsh in space combat than on the ground. Ground combat may not feel as bad in comparison but it still hurts. The very nature of the new enemy to swarm is a pain. These swarming groups of enemies build up to overpower if your not careful. Very different than in the rest of the game.
There are only two other enemies that kind of do the same mechanic. In space the Tholians and on the ground the desert scorpions of Numbus III.
Most of my alts have started into the new episode but have levelled solely on completing admiralty missions. It's been a real surprise that having 5 or 6 admiralty missions complete gets a character two levels.
I'm still impressed with the new Deep Space Nine model's internals. The only catch I have is that characters can't use the small spiral staircase's properly. And I do wish we could hear the singing Klingon (Ron Taylor) actually singing....
A good overview of all the new changes was done by Parallel Universe Gaming, well worth a look: Star Trek Online - Victory is Life Patch Notes and Gamma Vanguard Pack Overview
