Remote Control.......

Seeing the single player game limit theory has made me think of the empire building in Eve. This is usually done as a player controlling a player empire made up and driven by corps and alliances of real people.
For the solo player there is no hope of running anything like that.
But what about controlling some of your own ships in Eve as an automated process.

Perceptive Remote Control (©™ ;-p)

So....

Your highest SP Character on your account unlocks the ability to go ahead with this.
3 slots for "perceptive remote control" implants.
Meaning for each slot you need an implant.
Each implant can control a ship.
Each implant is paired with a crew. Like the idea of having a crew for your industry jobs, you need a crew for your remotely controlled ship.
And in turn allows you to control a ship via an automated job process menu/ui ( crew instructions ).
The bigger the ship the more crew needed and the more expensive they are to "hire".

To be able to use these:
Your sec status needs to be 5.0 to use the implants ( if it drops below then the ships dock up to the nearest station / all options become greyed out / crew disbands) Sounds like a good reward from the empire factions.....
Ships crewed/controlled in this way can only operate a maximum of 10(?) jumps from your current clone and Only within hi-sec ( 0.5 and up ).
Time limited to 7 hours "work" per 24 hour day.

These ships are all “green” saftey’d and can not engage in pvp  (or be targeted by others for pvp engagement?)
PvE engagement is allowed. But that would depend on the ui and the work needed to see about your "npc" ship killing an npc ship.... But the idea of having 3 ravens with "my" crews all automated and running lvl 4's is great! ( CCP would never let it get this advanced )

The crew level can be represented as being each level of the ISIS system, a class 1 crew gets the benefits of the skills listed for mastery 1 and so on. The price for hiring such crews is of course exponentially greater with the average grade/mastery 3 crew being the average cost.
The cost is also relevant to the size/class of ship, the bigger the ship the bigger the crew needed.
Ships that can be controlled are all T1 ( no faction / no T2  / no capitals ), only BS and lower vessels?

Interesting idea eh....
