Checking, changing and testing these new ship fits is proving to be a time sink. For the most part not a bad one but it does highlight how much I dont' know about the games mechanics, tactics and class's.
My KDF character is a lot more powerful in the new Temporal Tactical ship. Despite being a class I consider my own, there was/is a learning curve in testing it out.
I really like that you can move the modules from the other two temporal ships to do a basic full refit. The hidden bonus of getting a multi ship bundle. I've never done anything with an antiproton build before which also adds to the learning curve.
A few more tests later and I'm happy with the ship change and it's potential for fit upgrading. It makes me wonder about changing over my main would be like.
Going further with the theory crafting I changed my Federation Science character into the new science ship. So much for saying I'd leave her as is. My KDF character changes emboldened me. Although the fit seems good, the testing was a disaster. The learning curve on being an actually real 'surgical' science character is very different to being in the old ship. Like a 10 year old first aider with a plaster being asked to do brain surgery. A relearning of the science character is in order, weather that happens depends on my gameplay mood as well as the learning curve for the ships abilities....
