Planetary interaction randomness


A while back I setup some PI planets, gathering resources on an alt. 


Doing this I usually view the planets by resource density, this shows the surface of the planet as a giant colour chart. You hunt for the most dense pockets of the mineral you want to extract.


The actual surface of the planets bears not relevance to the actual use of the planet. Its just artistic. So an ocean world with 10% land mass could have very low density of water. Go figure.




Anyway it was only a while after that I noticed that my placement of the PI structures really matched the landmass, and looks like it was done on purpose. So here it is, cool for its randomness:
