Star Trek Online....
Star Trek Online is getting the "avatar" statue/model treatment. And although I don't have a ship that I'd class as needing this kind of treatment in the real world it is a great feature to have. Full details here: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10142383
In other news I was sad to see that STO players on console will not be sharing the universe with other console and pc players. "These console version are not cross compatible with the PC Version (this is due to a patching policy arrangement that makes patching take longer on console than PC)"
The game isnt' perfect by any means but what is. For what this game is and does it offers a lot of enjoyment. At least for me. There are a lot of things that I'm hoping will be fixed when the "new" systems are put in place. I am not waiting for anything to be fixed but I do wish the character login screen, like that above was less pixilated. Small gripe and nothing to do with gamplay.
Speaking of gamplay I've been maintaining my usual login, check reputation, fleet and doff missions etc. So it's been a casual "maintenance" mode with my main tactical and secondary science characters. That science character is a 23rd Century TOS expansion character at about 70% through the 59'th level. So 60 is not that far away.
At some stage I'll start on my 23rdC Engineering character. I'm sure that the winter event ship will be an engineering centric vessel..... Fingers crossed.
