I didn't get to use my level 30 Defiant ship as much as I would've liked. It was too efficient and sliced through the space combat of missions. Level 40 came sooner than I thought. It's nice that the duty officer missions add to the XP gain, the last batch made my character ding 40.
With level 40 I've unlocked all the older event ships and claimed what I could form the level specific store items. Specifically aiming for the Tactical Escort Refit. A better defiant class ship, whats not to like.
The auto naming of the ship made me laugh when I read it because the first thing that came to mind was this. Taco Taco!
It would be nice to keep this character in a Federation ship at level 60. But I don't have any good Fed choices in Tier 6. I just feel that I want something else to fly than what I have. If I do want to persist I may have to find something in the store and then build up the free Zen to buy it. More reason to 'invest' long term with the game through the lifetime subscription.
I'm liking how my max level characters are, between ships and gear it's all feeling a lot better now than even last week. I do still need to (re)learn more on the Engineer and Science sides especially as part of a group, but I'm in no hurry.
