I am closing in on getting a clue about which character I'll take as a "main". Not that it will matter, I only have about 2 weeks of game time left. I really dont' think I'm getting my monies worth so may not continue.
I am surprised with the guild I'm in. There is a lack of a return to the crowded day's where it was easy to get 20 guildies for a raid and even at that there would be another 10 waiting in the wings. These day's it's hard to get 5 for a normal dungeon. My wife has also returned to the game and is taking more of an interest in it than me. It's through her view that I see on guild dungeon runs that they almost always have to pug a 3rd DPS spot. Makes me feel slightly guilty that I'm not helping/gaming/enjoying both the game and their time. But if I'm not 100% feeling into the game I'm not going to play it for the sake of it. Not this time round. Maybe....
I have taken another two characters to get their weapons and halls:
My Arms Warrior's class hall makes me feel like a cross between a Paladin and a Priest. Hardly the location of a hacking and slashing bloodlust Horde warrior. The quest line did nothing for me. Meh.
I can understand why Blizz went with the storyline quest the way they did but the more they pile on how massive a warrior you are, how special, unique and wonderful your skills, power etc is, yadda yadda. The more fake it feels. Especially when your in a line of 50 other warriors waiting on the same handin, to get the same speech.
I also took my Windwalker Monk through her quest. The island class hall is great. And the quest line is perfect for the class. Immerse, quirky and lots of fun. Monk may be the 3rd best class I've visited so far.
Only two more characters to go, Druid and Rogue....
